51 plate leon 1.6 no start transponder?imobiliser?key?

hi ,new here tonight,need help with my 1.6s 16v 2001,it started this morn, 2nd /3rd time but put it down to being frosty,drove it 8 mile ,left it til 3.30 and now it wont start,tries for a sec then just cranks!! got a flashing "key in car"light on dash!! is there any known faults with transponder ring etc thanks newbi pete

made a phone call this morn to allan fishburn" the golf center"darlington and he says most prob one of two plugs into the back of the speedo has faulty connection or the small plug to the reciever ring around the ignition barrel!!going to check soon ,fingers crossed.ps this guy transplanted a 20v turbo into a lupo,nuts or what!!!

car now running,, removed steering shroud covers and sure enough the small plug to the airial/receiver ring around the end of the ign barrel had come out a bit,there was no clip to secure it in !!!! this would also explain a poor starting problem some mornings for the last 2 month...
