50000 mile cupra R

hi all,
picking up a ovni cupra R on saturday, was just wondering if there is anything major that needs done around the 50000 mile mark?

picking up my ovni yellow ibiza cupra R on sat, its got 50000 miles on the clock and was just wondering if there is anything that usually needs replacing at this amount of miles!?

shouldn't do really, as long as its got fsh.

not at 50k ppl usually change cam belt and water pump etc at around 60k..

Plugs should have been done at 40k which is one of the biggest services.

erm not far off the 60k cambelt change. But if i were you id just have it serviced and new brake pads.

have a good look around the rear window seal for rust bubbles...common problem

are there holes in the carpet? i.e where a rollcage could of been?

When i picked up my cupra at 52k it needed the temp sensor (common fault)and the cooling fan replaced as the bearings were shot, but that wasnt really that common an issue.
I would be a bit jubiuos buying a yellow cupra R, mainly because some were ragged for a year at Rockingham..... but I dont want to put a dampner on things for you but i would prob give it a good service at a vag specialist regardless, as Phil says get them to check the plugs have been replaced aswell.

pickin the car up on sat from my mate and i paid £5000 for it seemed like a good price considering normal cupra's are going for more!

its just had new discs and pads!dunno bout the cambelt though is it expensive to get replaced?

How do you know what numbewr your cupra r is....just curious really.

It was originally stamped on the back of the R key ring if you still have it.
