Hi guys,

I've got a Seat Leon 52 plate TDI SE 110 and it will soon be due its 40,000 service.

One garage I spoke to told me that my timing belt or cam belt (can't remember which now ) has to be changed at the 40,000 miles service but none of the others I've spoke to have mentioned this.

Is this garage correct?

Any help much appreciated as it's going to cost me a fortune.

Look in the manual it tells you what needs doing at what mileage, i have a similar question about brake fluid at the 20k.

I would do mate but I'm at work and the information is at home. I think I've found the answer anyway.

Apparently mine is the Non-PD engine and the cam belt needs to be changed at 60k and not 40k.

SEAT are about to recommend that cambelts be changed at 4 years regardless of whether the recomended mileage has been reached. Skoda already do this, SEAT are playing catch up
