Does anyone know what should be done/changed at the 40K service? My FR 20VT had the cambelt/pump/aux belt done at just over 4 years old ~32k miles. It's now coming up on 40K.
I assume it's just oil, filter, pollen filter, gearbox oil?

Cheers.

Good good!

How about the fuel filter?

Cheers!

Eh, sorry for the misleading info...
I confused miles and kilometers again :(

The bigger ~40k / 60k km service also includes spark plugs and engine air filter.

Fuel filter change interval is not mentioned for petrol engines.
Personally I replace it every year because it is easy to change and the filter is very cheap.

Also if it has been over 2 years since changing the brake fluid, replace it too.
It should have been changed for the first time when car was 3 years old.

I was told the cambelt is due at 4 years or 40000miles whichever comes first. So it was all done on mine at 32000miles ~ just over 4 years old.

So now the car is coming up on 40K, it needs:
Engine Oil + Filter.
Gearbox oil (check).
Spark Plugs. (are there better ones than standard out there?). NKG Iridium IX?
Air Filter (clean the green on in there).

Brake fluid should have been done before I bought the car, worth checking the history I think.

Cheers for the advice.

mines at 32.000 at mo so you think i should have it changed?

If it's 4 years old, then from what I was told. Yes. It includes water pump etc. Cost me £260 all in. Even though the parts they ordered in should have fit but did not..something about mine being a more rare 20VT?! Even the water pump was not what they expected.
