3" maf houing?

will my car be ok running a 3" maf housing, but with my original sensor in it will my ecu learn to correctly fuel my car, would like to know asap please because i fitted it tonight and have got to drive it 2morrow and do not want to damage it cheers any help would be much appreciated!!!!

cos ive just fitted my catch tank and my induction kit fits better with the 3" maf in, so this is a bad idea still got standard tip but with 3" maf housing and old sensor, at first it started then just stalled then had a fiddle with it, it know idles for as little bit then hunts abit then goes back to normal is this a bad idea then??? will it cause damage???

yeah, that's a bad - and poorly informed - idea

your MAF will under-read, thus under-fuel. That's also the reason for the poor idle. just wait until you floor the throttle.... melty melty

put it back, and work out a better fitment retaining the stock MAF tube & sensor

i want to get that ball joint looking plastic thing off the gear linkage arm bracket does it have a retaining circlip inside it or does it just pop off like a normal ball joint the thing your explaining is to get it out of the braket that sits on your 3" atp inlet for example pics would help mate if you have any mate!!

on teh ball joint there's a small clip

slip a screwdriver under it & lift & push backwards

6spd are different to 5spd one... ibiza ball ones pop off. lever them off and they'll pop off.

dont change you maf tube. engine problems WILL occur if you do.

airflow to fueling will all go to c0ck
