Just enquired about the cost of servicing for my Ibiza fr TDI. Its only done about 14500 miles. Price I was given was £170 for the servicing and a further £48 for brake fluid change! Think this is a bit steep, especially for the brake fluid change! whats peoples opinions on this? Anyone know of a decent independant seat garage in the Norwich area?

I changed the brake fuild on my 2nd service but got slated for it and felt ripped off.
As supposedly it doesn't need done.

Was the service price for a 20k oil change service, or does it include the inspection service as well ?

The servicing schedule can be quite confusing, as it's based on time and mileage.
Brake fluid is generally changed every 2 years.

Oh, and the Seat dealer allegedly changed my brake fluid once, and when I was poking round the car I found that only one of the four bleed nipples had been touched.

No, Believe that it is just the 20k Oil change service? Cant say im impressed with the quoted prices, but then what should I expect from the stealers!! By the way Muddyboots, hows the selfbuild coming along? Was reading your site with a lot of interest earlier on in the year, but guess things got too hectic to keep it updated?

It does seem a lot of money for an oil change service, when you consider how little is actually changed. Even the air filter isn't scheduled for change until 40k :-o

Yes, diary writing took a bit of a back seat, but hopefully photos should tell the story :)

Just take it to any trusted independant garage that looks professional.
