+ 25% BHP mod

Has anyone used or tried the mod (often seen on ebay) for petrol VW engines (25 extra bhp)?
Its a resistor that goes in place of the air inlet temp sensor.

Didnt find anything about that particular mod? They dont cost very much to buy.

hi, just seen your add for the replacement of the iat sensor,don't know if it works or not just bought one myself but cant find the iat sensor myself can you help ?

Dont be a sucker, Do you really think people would be paying £500+ for re-maps if this 5p resistor from maplins really worked safly? It just fools your ecu in to thinking that there is more air coming into the system there for it pumps more fuel in eventully would proberly knacker your engine. Im pretty sure thats how it works anyway. I`ve always worked on the moto if your going to do somthing do it properly and that means a re-map with the correct mods.

i think it tells the ECU that the air is colder (therefore denser). the resistor goes on the temp sensor.

these have got to be one of the stupidest mods ever (if u can call it a mod), its basically aimed at chavs who get excited about getting an extra horsepower out of their 1.2 corsa!
