Hi Guys

As most of us know the roads are crap at the moment with 15ft pot holes in some parts of the country, I've resorted back to my 17's for the moment for a couple of reasons.

Is any one running 225/45/18 tyres and if so how do you find them?? Is there enough clearance?

i reckon they will fit, i am running 225/40/18's (plus its lowered, i find it firm but not harsh and have plenty of clearance around the arches) plus the extra on the sidewall being 45's should make the ride a bit more comfortable.

Not only will fitting 225/45/18 throw out the speedo they will also cause problems with the abs, and possibly rub on full lock. Also insurance will need to be informed as it's classed as a modification from factory fitment. I honestly cant see the point in going to a 45 profile on 18's as it won't make a blind bit of difference to ride comfort.

The ABS is setup with the speedo and traction control for a specific rolling circumfrence of a tyre. So by changing the tyre size to 1 with a completely different rolling circumfrence will cause it to be thrown out.
