Just booked my Leon for its 20k service & a bit of investigation for non-working air con with the ever helpful chaps at Seat Camberley. They are darn good - every time I speak to them they are cheerful and sooo helpful. Anyway, Paul there says 20k service is £219. Fair enough.

I don't doubt them, but just out of interest, rang Wiltshire & Sons in Farnham (who I have said previously I wouldn't use) - got some miserable sounding bloke who quoted me £295! I even checked that isn't including a brake fluid change or something (which it doesn't). He made no effort to sound interested, or get me to book it in.

I thought I had maybe misheard Paul at Camberley (i.e. he might have said £290), but no, Farnham are just a total rip off. Gotta be worth a bag of donuts for the boys when the car goes in I reckon!

Really? For an LCR?

I like the guys at my local Camberley dealership, they are very on the ball. The air con has packed up, and they worked on it just 6 weeks ago so I am happy for them to just do it all in one go for now. But if thats right, I'd be willing to look at the local Skoda garage too. Nice one.
