I know that this question has been asked before , but what would be a better Disc/ pad for the fronts
I dont like Brembo has the pad rattles when reversing in the caliper. the other makes i had in mind are ferodo, mintex,
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just want a better brake feel on the pedal ,as i find the brakes not as good as my leon 1.2 TSI

Many Thanks

Steve

I would use the OE pads.
Not as expensive as you may presume. Find out the OE brake pad number - and google this number to find the best price.
This brake pad uses a wrap around anti noise shim - which means the thickness of this shim becomes critical dimension for good pad fitment.
As you have found out - many aftermarket pads brands don't realise this! Ferodo & Mintex will be similar to the Brembo AM and use a cheaper/thinner shim than the OE and so also may rattle/clonk.
