Good evening,
I'm just wondering what sort of MPG people are getting from this configuration of car? I know its meant to do 58mpg on paper, Ive never seen numbers like that, even on a good run. This is my first "sensible" engine car and first diesel in 14 years of driving.
Up until last week I had Continental Conti Sport Contact tyres all round, I was seeing in around 49/50mpg at a push if I was trying. Recently got a set of Pilot sport 4 tyres on the front axle, now I'm down 40-42 normal driving and about 45-47 if I'm properly crawling it to work. My last tank worked out by math rather than the read out was 43.5mpg. (Is this normal for pilot sports?)
I could get mid 30s from my old 2.0 TFSI Octavia VRS, the brakes are all free as anything, tyre pressures are good. Im just wondering is this normal for this configuration of car? Cant see it sticking around too long if this is typical mpg!
Thanks!
