2.5" downpipe any good?

Hi,

I have been offered a custom S/S 2.5" downpipe, decat and full system for my LCR. The price is good just after any opinions on the 2.5" as i know most people go for aftermarket systems that are 3", will i still get the same benifits as the 3"?

Got to be better than the standard as normal one is very resrictive so yea should see benefits.

iv heard the original is 2.5" anyway...and the restriction comes in its awkward shape...so if its custom made,it should be better

Thanks for the replies, i wasnt sure of the size of the standard downpipe, i know the fabricator so the quality is good just want to make sure i will benifit in maybe a few bhp other than the fact it will be made from stainless.
