I just handed my 2.0 TDI Ref Sport to the stealership to repair a loose roof spoiler and was given a courtesy car in the shape of a 1.6 Ref Sport. Now, no disrespect to any owners of this model of car , but my god, I really noticed the power difference.
When I got into the office, I checked the spec on this car and found that it's a 1.6 8v with just over 100bhp and a severe lack of torque into the bargain. Having driven small engined Fiestas until last year, I realised how much power these new diesel engines have, but this morning reminded me again!
Can't wait to get my own car back and feel that 2nd and 3rd gear power surge again, instead of trying to push it on like a cart horse!
Again, I mean no disrespect. I'm sure Cupra owners stepping into my car would feel the same
