Have got my 1.6 Stylance thats nearly 3 years old, hardly had any problems, one great car so will stick with Seat I think. Been offered £6500 which I think is a bit low.

Would really like to upgrade to the 2.0 TDi DSG. Have searched for peoples opinions but nothing specific cropped up!

What are peoples thought who own one or have driven one, are they as good as the pertol automatic?

Cheers for info! Andrew.

I've got a 2.0 TDI DSG Stylance and I'd buy another. Fantastic engine and gearbox. First gear can be a bit harsh as it engages coming back through the gears occasionally but think this has been the case in all of the ones I've been in or driven.

I guess its smooth changes up the gears when accelerating? Some autos ive driven had to lift off slightly when changing gear to keep it smooth.

Do you get paddles on the wheel? Am still hunting one down at a dealers to have a drive, Toledo may be the only Tdi auto I can find! lol

Are you happy with the mpg too? Cheers.

I currently have a Subaru Impreza Turbo and thinking of getting the 2.0 TDI DSG. Hehehe if you believe some of the threads on here my Impreza 230BHP minus the "95BHP lost on AWD" gives it 135BHP - less than the 2.0 DSG for 140BHP - so a step up in performance :)

Having driven both the Impreza is way quicker, but its just over the top for road use these days. Or maybe I am getting old. And 20mpg is no fun.

Anyway the 2.0 TDI had lots of useable power and the DSG box is great. Smooth. So I am in the market for one.

Despite the car market supposedly having collapsed dealers are asking 14K for 1 year old examples. Which is crazy since I the Internet price for a new one is 15.5K.

Anyway I am waiting for the new specs of the Leon to be release at the Geneva motorshow. If they introduce Common Rail diesel engines in ALL models then it may be worth waiting for. Also a 160bhp petrol DSG sounds interesting.

If not worth waiting for, the mainstream annoucement of a facelift model should push down residuals, and hopefully dealers will be keen to sell off the old style model.

Yes very! :)

Not needed in the leon dsg...

Do you get paddles on the wheel?
Not on the 140bhp Diesel - You do on the FR though. You can still change manually on the stick though.

Are you happy with the mpg too? Cheers.

Yes.. 50mpg + is easily achievable on a run when being sensible. I average 42ish on my 30 mile daily commute... most of that at motorway and above speeds...;)

Very simple YES my wife has a Ruby Red 2.0 TDi DSG Stylance with BTCC Aero Kit and 18's. A stunning car to drive only downside is the auto is so good there's no point in the manual change option.
