Hi everyone. So my 2008 2.0 TDI Freetrack has always cranked for ages before eventually starting and running like a champ. I have read a ton of posts and changed the glow plugs without success. I found a post the other day that said that the lift pump needs to be purged if air after doing things like changing the fuel filter or anything else that disrupts the fuel system. I found a video on YouTube from Ross tech detailing how to do it so I sat in the car and ren the pump 6 times. I left the car overnight and this morning, covered in ice, she started perfectly and ran better than I can remember. Worth a try if your experiencing the same. I will post an update in a week of so. Fingers crossed!
