well after much debate on which route into vag 20v turbo ownership i settled on a leon curpa r in yellow. when i was looking this was the cheepest one in the uk for sale. could have gone and got on in better nick but i like a project and this was mechanically solid. so here she is

its many shades of yellow as it stands stil its a good solid base car. first on the agenda is sorting a few servicing bits to make sure its sweet. whilst i get the bits together i cracked out the auto glym and set about it to see what it would come up like

sick of having pink calipers i thought i would give them a go with the colour restorer and see what happened. they still need painted ultimately but it improved them no end

the rest of the car is a similar story. the roof needs a repaint and the front wings have been resprayed but dont match the rest of the car. bar the roof and the wings its the same colour the rest of the way just very dull tbh still its had a good coat of polish and looks a million times better

thats how it stands just now. i have a timing belt to go on and new pads to go all round.

have made a small list of things i need to do. i want an exhaust, filter, silicone hoses and a front mount. i used to drive beemers and have had good success with powerflex bushes so will be doing them on the lcr. been recomended to get some anti roll bars so that might be a plan aswel

Surprisingly no it was in auto trader I narrowed it down to 2 in the end this one which was up for £2450 and a black one in Somerset for £2550 both nice cars but ultimately this one wasn't as far so it won then I knocked the guy down £300 when I drove it he ended up only making £100 on it as be couldn't be bothered prepping it. Knocked his price Down and drove off laughing. There were a few cars on eBay running on a bid auction but they ended higher than I paid. Cupras are a bargain but I really wanted the lcr so spent the extra. It does drive like brand new but from what I saw yesterday it looks like it's been lowered a touch.

Looks like a bargain mate and welcome...
One thing I'll say is go onto readers rides section and search for James Parkin....
He had a yellow LCR and did an awesome job transforming it into one of the best examples on here.
The amount of views his thread has had speaks for itself. Certainly gave me some inspiration as well as others on this site

Not much happened got the car properly cleaned and it looms a million times better. Will post some pics later when my phone behaves. Also acquired a splitter type dump valve. It has the option af being blanked and turned into a record or full atmospheric Valve. It was also free which is nice. Will do till I can afford the forge one. Sadly that's it at the minute. Been checking on the leak I fixed on the better half's tt and noticed cracks in the timing belt so thats a priority now. One step forward and 2 back lol

Have to say I am well pleased with the price i paid for it. Am half tempted to save and get the colour changed. Am feeling the stealth grey that the focus St comes in but I do love the yellow. Think I will do a few bits in black and carbon and see how it looks. Long way off yours though buddy

It would appear that apps for windows phones are being phased out. Lost eBay the other day as they are no longer supporting it and tap talk isn't available either. When I get the exhaust on the car done the next job is an android phone. It's a shame cos this was a good phone.

Best bet is either to upload directly to the forum (via mobile browser or via computer), or to one of the other image hosting sites if PB won't work. Can't say I've ever had any issues with it mind.
