Hi all,

Got a few questions regarding my cupra sport. Is there any reason why it would sometimes be a pain in the arse to change gear especially up the box and when driving with my lead foot on.

Im starting to get annoyed being blizted by saxos when i cant find 2nd gear!

Also.. anyone selling a stainless system for this? Could do with one if anyone knows of one, second hand preferably to save some cash or any reasonble suggestions for a new one would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any replys.

Cheers,

Nick.

Clutch???

Is the pedal heavy, you might say no, but i didnt think mine was, and shot clutch caused me to break 2 pedal boxes!! It didnt slip, but stopped me finding third a bit as well!!

Either that or gear linkage!!

Clutch cables go stiff, that might not help.

Also, are you pushing the pedal all the way down? I've heard some surprising things believe me!

Nice car, Ben 16v! Not that I'm biased or anything! :D

Clutch cables go stiff

change it anyway and while you do check the 1st mount bracket by the pedal - the dreaded pedal box

another sign is pedal down but clutch arm not fully operated

why didnt they just leave it hydraulic like the box was designed for anyway [:@] they did on the tdi

Is it possible to change the clutch pedal or the entire pedal set from a tdi including all the hydraulics?

I really wanted to do this on my clio but never did ( had a slight misshap with a modeo :| )

Thanks all.

Oh and brummy im near Coventry.

i considered it viable when i had my dashboard out but never did check the full 100% though

golf mk3 slave cylinder also looked fittable if cordie not available - i'll try and dig up the research i had, numbers etc

There's one being broken on eBay at the minute, and I've seen a couple of dead ones on various forums. They're certainly becoming rarer! :D
