Has the car been remapped? - I recall the first code can be a mapping fault.

Thankyou very much for getting back to me with this, i havent owned the car long but i think it was been remapped as the turbo is running upto 1.2 bar.

Im also noticing some strange things with coolent temp gong up and down all the time but im not used to these cars. Also if i only drive for 5 mins from cold and restart her she struggles to start.

I've got similar fault codes up at the minute (17545 & 17705), think mine was running rich (fuel) and the pressure drop. I am currently running the standard Bosch recirculating valve and was wondering if this had gone, when i first bought the car the valve went and was replaced. I'm considering replacing it with a Forge 007P see if it solves the problem.

Most probably, do you hav access to vag-com or a hand held DTC scanner?

I've had about 4 errors including the 17704 appearing every couple of days since i've had the car, im slowly working through them replacing or checking the possible faults.

I replaced the temperature sensor some time ago and today i replaced the thermostat, as these are the two main causes of this problem im hoping it will go away.
