Just went over 100k mileage, cars a 2013 fr150 TDI, all the kit apart from sunroof and heated seats.

In the 2 years of owning it, I have to say it's been a pretty spot on for my 90 mile a day commute to work and back.
Problems/stuff I've had done:
Cracks in rear light - replaced under warranty
1 glow plug - replaced under warranty
Stuck fuel filler cap - replaced under warranty.
Still get the odd rattles from the dash facia sometimes but I can live with it.
Recently had brakes n pads changed all round, got good deal from Dave @sere on here.
Nokian Line tyres fitted all round after the crappy pirellis it came with, gotta say these have been fantastic for this car, really hard to break traction on these and stick round corners must be coming up close to 20k on these and there's still about 4mm left and no noticeable drop off in wet/dry.
Service costs aren't great when they are so regular and I don't think MPG is as good as it can be but then again I do live in the 3rd lane lol

Things to come:
The next biggest expense will probably be cambelt and water pump although no one knows for sure when these get changed on these cars maybe 120k and new tyres all round.

All in all I've not regretted buying this car at all, came with a lot of kit that would have cost a lot extra on the equivalent golf/A3, looks great, drives great and not as common as the other cars.
So far so good

Interesting account. I run a '64 reg 150 tdi too - but only 26k - and I'd endorse pretty much every word, including the creaks (despite fitting sound deadening in the front doors). It makes up for it by being a great drive.
On economy, I came from a VW CC BMT (70+ mpg!) so the Leon disappointed until I got the hang of it. On a recent round trip to Suffolk (about 400 miles) I was staggered to see an indicated 65mpg overall, so it's obviously true what they say about diesels and long distances.
Mine's on the longer service intervals programme, which I'm going to swap, although it's interesting what you have to say about increased running costs of doing so. But it can't be good for any car to have only one oil change in its first 30 thousand miles, can it?
Although I've rarely felt the need for more power, I would investigate a remap or tuning box to get nearer 184 levels, if I was keeping the car.
As it is, I'm fed up with the all-or-nothing power delivery of turbo diesels in general, so I'd like a petrol Leon next - ideally a late model 1.8 - but I'd settle for a facelift 1.4 provided it has goodies like Seat Sound, which few do. Only downer is the deletion of standard-fit front sensors (now a £160 option, I believe) which seems a bit mean. In the tiny underground car park at work they've been a godsend.
