Don't do it mate, as said, will put more strain on the wiring causing meltdown (I had 100w bulbs in my Fiesta XR2i.... only for one night / you could smell the plastic melting lol).

Prices are dropping like a stone mate, check out ebay even the cheapies are worth a punt at around 30 quid, if one breas just order another set and you have a load of spare parts just in case then.

Ooh good just made a nice little list of fitments :p

Main Beam = H1
Dipped Beam = H7
Front Fogs = H3
Stop/Tail = 7528
Fog Rear = 7506
Reverse = 7506
Front Indicator = 7507
Rear Indicator = 7507
Side Indicator = 2827

If the dipped and mains are seperate bulbs which do you replace with HID? just dipped right? and i'm guessing that 8000K looks liek the best to go for as the rest look quite blue...
Not that i'm even thinking about changing mine as i've only driven it in the dark once so far :p

8000 is blue, 6000k is more white than blue, less than 6k goes orangey, more than 6k and it starts going blue then higher again like 10k+ is purple.
Also note that light travels less distance above 5000kelvin so 8000k's wont shine as far as 6000k kits.

6000k is the way to go on hid's so i'm told anyway. 4300k is pure white and has the most light 6000 is white with a hint of blue and any higher than that ir going on bluey purple and will attract the police more. h7 for dipped on the leon , but no point in getting high beam cos the dipped is so good you never use high.

Just for reference, heres my Leon with the 6000K Hids, you can see they are a 'lot' whiter than the fog lights yet don't look too blue, just a slight hint of it I think (I also have white LED sidelight bulbs - this is a must if you get HID's otherwise the sidelight bulbs look really really yellow)
