100% Dead Toledo :-( Electrics?

Hi all, newbie to the forum so greets to you all!

I have a big problem, I think I've killed my Toledo (1.6 petrol job).

It's not been used for a few months and was very damp inside (floor pans etc, same old story of leaks). The battery was dead so I connected a charger with a quick start facility and tried to start her up. As soon as I switched on the ignition a number of things happened:

The CD player fried..smoke came billowing out of it and it sizzled a bit..

The dash panel made strange clicking noises, light flashed, the LCD readout went nuts and...

Now everything is dead. No dash, no start, no electrics at all :-(

I've checked all the fuses that I know of (dash panel and on battery) and they all seem fine.

Thanks for any advice or hints in advance.

Thanks Nathal, Nope didn't check, didn't even know about it :), but I'll have a look tomorrow.

Also think I'll check ecu power relay after searching a bit more on these forums.

Thanks again Natal.

Never overlook the obvious..

Couldn't get it sorted unfortunately so called out the car sparks....

They changed the battery and it all fired up  could not believe it!! Felt like a total prat.

There was power getting thru when I connected the charger at first, (blew up the stereo after all) and dash was lit, so there you go...

...don't rule out the obvious is the lesson for me.
