100,000 mile service

Well, I've done 100,000 miles in my 1.9TDI tolly (2001, non PD, 110bhp), so it's due it's service.

Am I right in thinking it's only due the standard service and the 20,000 mile one? Then the 40,000 and 60,000 would need done at 120,000?

She's got a full service history up to this point, (I only bought it six months ago), so can only assume that all the repairs are up to date at correct milages.

Anyone know how much one of these would cost from a dealer? I could do it myself for under £100, but I'd like to get it done by SEAT to keep the FSH if it's not crazy money. Other than that, I'll just go astray from the history!

You don't have to get a service done at SEAT to maintain FSH. An independent garage can service and stamp the book. Just make sure that they are VAT registered. Costs a lot less I imagine.

Got in contact with my local SEAT guys and an independant specialist. Both agree it's just a 20k service required, but both want about the same price. About £160 + VAT, this seems a little rich for my pocket!

The only parts required are oil, filter, fuel filter, brake fluid, pollen filter (The main air filter was done 12 months ago). By my reconing these shouldn't cost more than about £60. I'll maybe just do it myself, or take it to my mechanic who always does me a good price ;)

...unfortunately, no stamp though!

Anyone know any cheaper independants in the Belfast area? Also, what's the cheapest VW505-00 oil I can get? I know there's a lot of talking on the subject in the TDI thread, but no definitive answer!

Cheers
