Heres my perdicament, i can put 2 fusions subs sittig tight in the boot, but ive so got a single fusion sub left over, in tempted to build custom box and put it in instead of the spare wheel or selling it.

Should i just man up and wire the 3 in or just 1 or 2??

Do you really want to look like this:

I had a JL Audio "10, tiny box, sounded perfect to make the music sound better, unlike all of halfords customers who want the rest of the county to hear the **** music they listen to..

:p

I also still have access to my spare wheel, the subs move back and the amp tray lifts up!

I don't see the point in having 2. I've got 1 1000watt sub and it is more than enough for me. I never have it on full whack, I've got the EQ for the bass on -7 and the gain on the sub on -5 and it is still sometimes too much if I have the music loud.

Not to mention I think people look like a complete tool with silly amounts of bass.

Same reason people tune their cars to 300bhp when 130 is perfectly enough in a small hatch ;)

I would make sure that if you're going to have more than one, make sure they're identical, or they will fight each other and sound cack.

When I see a 300bhp car I don't think 'tw*t'. When I see a car, with subs so powerful it makes the electrics dip in time with the bass, I think 'tw*t'.

Especially when I see a car with subs that provide more horsepower than the engine.

I think tw*t because I haven't got 300bhp. Fully agree however that it's horrible to see a car with stupid amounts of bass especially Ibiza's.

Leave it to the Corsa's ! ;)

Me too, it means they haven't sorted the electrics properly! Different strokes for different folks, but if you saw someone using every single one of those 300bhp at the traffic lights, or down a residential street, then you probably would think 'Tw*t', but on an open road, or the motorway, it's a lot more acceptable.

Anyway, more subs doesn't have to mean more noise, there's a whole world of ICE Dedicated to sheer volume, and another one dedicated to Sound Quality. Then there's the halfords brigade... but that's not exclusive to ICE.

I agree that when you see a car driving down the street with its music blasting out yeah you do think look at that Di*ckhead!

But I think your stereotyping people who actually have a good quality sound system that they take to shows ect. to those that just stick the biggest sub possible in their car and hope it shakes the earth and cause as much noise as possible! correct me if im wrong.

anyway just because you have a loud sound system dosent mean to say you have to have it on loud all the time lol

As people have said it's personal choice either way, you are certainly right in mentioning a comparison between spending £100 at halfords or £1000s on custom setups that go to shows and events.

I don't think people are dickheads for doing it, it's their preference but most would think they are after school girls with that droning thud thud shite

Nothing like summer, windows down, and Pink Floyd going to confuse people :D

Yup, I'll admit that some people need to learn that the volume dial turns both ways!

I may or may not have a playlist on my iPod titled 'Cheese' featuring such classics as vanessa carlton and the macarena.

personally I would go for a stealth build.

This is what I plan to do when I get some time.

The reason that I am going to go for a stealth build is because I still want to be able to use the boot!
