Hey,

I have a new ibiza with the 1.9 TDi (105 bhp) on order, that I should recieve sometime around april [8 week lead time :(]. And as the 1.9 in the ibiza is the same as the one in the leon, I thought I'd ask you guys as I don't think there are any 1.9 ibizas around yet.

I did a search and found one result.. but was looking for more info...

Soooo.. What gains has anyone got from a remap of the new 1.9 tdi? The one result I found was saying from 105 to 147 bhp. Is this what you've seen? Any recommendations on the 'best' place for a remap?

Also, would any other changes need to be made to 'cope' with the increase in power and torque?

Realisticly I'm looking at July time for the remap, but I like to plan ahead, get some info etc :)

Cheers,
-Cyph

have a search back through the TDI and TDI Tuning sections, remaps of the PD100 has been covered many times, you will find loads of info in there.

So is there no real idfference between the 100 and 105? I knwo there's lots of information on the 100... but i'm looking for information on the new 105 bhp 1.9tdi...

I think they are exactly the same, just a different map with 5 extra bhp on it but in reality the pd100 could be running 110 and the pd105 might be running the same, less or more, no real difference I think, anyway there is a pd100 on here with a stage 1 remap to 158bhp, do a search ;)

I read that someones PD100 1.9TDI Sportrider (same as my car) had like 125bhp standard.
I'd assume their probably exactly the same engines.
Forge are always interested in developing too drop them a line
They'd probably do you a bloody good deal too.

Hey again :)

I've been looking more into remaps etc and there's a 'superchips' in wiltshire that i've contacted as they're very close to me. I just wondered if anyone had used superchips or if you all go for places like jabba and AmD ?

cheers,

Editing your spelling
Your right, the chips is an old reference, back when you couldnt remap the ECU and had to unsolder and resolder a new ECU chip on.

I think it was to do with them upping boost too much, have a search back through the TDI section, im sure PRC has posted about it ages ago.

The new Seat s have 2 types of ECU if It is edc17 ecu, so far we have 2 different hardware versions of edc17 (h01 and h02). H01 is all obd ( which means we can programme through the cars diagnostic port ) or the other type is h02 this means programming is via boot mode which means opening the ecu
