About a month ago, I went to JabbaSport in Peterborough to get my Seat Leon 1.9 tdi remapped. After a few hours, the guy came to the conclusion that the turbo was surging and that there might be an issue with the EGR valve. Also there seems to be a fluttering noise coming from the engine? although that may be the dump valve, but it's quite a loud flutter?

But anyway, yesterday I had my service at Seat, and they said there was nothing wrong with the turbo.....

....so could it be anything else?

Editing your spelling
firstly TDIs dont have dump valves so it wont be that.

To me it sounds like the N18 EGR control valve is faulty, i had this sort of surging or stuttering which you mention which was fixed with a new N18. Start by swapping the N75 and N18s and see what you get.

this is what surge sounds like.

[EDIT: can't put the link in for some reason i'll do it later

what sort of turbo is on it that they are trying to map?

i would not describe surge as on boost, off boost, on boost......thats what mine's doing now and looks like a problem with the vnt or actuator
