Bought a cupra last night it has a couple of issues the main one being that the traction control and abs light are on. The previous owner told me this was the n/s abs sensor. I spoke to my local garage and they confirmed that if this sensor was broken it would put these lights up on the dash. So i bought a new sensor and fitted it and true to form the sensor was snapped off s replaced. I plugged it into VAG com to read for fault codes and reset put it on auto scan and it only came up with 3 issue of which were related to the sterio system VAG com then crashed ran the auto scan again and it crashed again i then plugged the snap on diagnostic reader and again that crashed !!? Thinking it was just coinsidence i ran VAG com on my friends mk4 but this time ran its course showed fault codes but did not crash and was fine !!?? So in conclusion my car wont accept any diagnostic reading equipment it runs the scan but doesn't come up with any faults yet the lights are till on the dash and neither the traction control or abs work any help apprecited thanks in advance Ben
