i've done some reading on previous prices for Cambelt change for the 1.8T, is it the same for all 1.8T, i.e. LCR 225, FR 180 etc.?

When is it supposed to be done on an LCR 52 plate? My local seat told me 60.000 and my local garage told me that seat had changed their cam belt service to 40.000 now im worried as im on about 37.000!!!

Petrol engines used to be up to 110K miles with checks up to then.
However SEAT are now advising to replace ALL belts at 4 years

my seat dealer said 120,000 miles!! just checks up till then
dont no how they check it , sounds silly

Thats what it says in the manual too... "Every 120,000 miles: Toothed belt for camshaft drive: replace (only petrol engines with 5 valves per cylinder). Only says check condition at 60k.

I does however say that the TDI's belt should be replaced at 60k.
