1.6crtdi Idle Speed

Mine's idling at 1000rpm... seems a bit high to me is this normal?

This is the ECU attempting to regenerate the DPF filter. Take it for a motorway run and keep it above 2k revs for 10 mins and it will return to normal tickover speed.

The ECU does this thing where it injects an extra squirt of fuel whilst the exhaust valves are still open, this makes the exhaust temp rise and helps to burn off the soot in the DPF filter.
