handles are held in with an allen bolt under a grommet (single at the top not the 3 lower down in a triangle) just inside on the doors rear edge when its open

mirrors are fixed by screws under the escutcheon (traingle bit) cover on the inside

quarter windows if opening are screwed on - follow the hinges under the trim for the mounts to be safe or remove the screws in the glass

if fixed im sure they are just rubber mounted so pop out if you know how ;)

Hi nathwarr,
no a couple of years ago the drivers door got scratched & then a week later the passenger door got banged in tesco's, so i had a cheap re-spray but the lacuor went off to hard & over the years has reacted with the paint & caused a sort of crazy paveing effect (like lots of small scratch's) so as the radio is being reconditioned through my local Seat dealer for £75 & the windows are getting proffesionly tinted for £160 (50% off through havok316 on this forum). i thought i might as well spend a few extra quid to bring her back to top condition & get her proffesionaly re-sprayed (£300 through a mate of a mate's)

A big thank you to Fl@pper for the advice on stripping off the door handles, wing mirrors & takeing out the rear quater light windows so she can go straight in for the paint job.

Any other advice relateing to this will be greatly appreciated.

no mate, it's a dead easy job I assure you. oh, just one really minor thing now that I think about it,,, the door opener cable,,, remember how it is hooked to the chrome handle cos if you hook it up the other way it'll end up breaking the cable on the long run.

Covers all VW Group Seats from 1973-2005

 seat owned by vw in 1973???

Anyway, judging by the price, I'd say this is a normal [pirated] copy of the elsa manual, the original stuff seat distributes to the dealers. Anyway, if you'd want to break the law [which you don't want], you could get it in other ways for free. But don't assume for sure it contains everything you need.

Have an RVF400 and a K4 GSXR600. May know me as Craig_ off 400GreyBike and off various other forums like Apriliaforum (if you've ever had an RS125) or 125cc Sportsbikes.

Will get some pictures up of all the bikes and cars one day!! :D
