1.6 ---- how to modify?

I wanna start doing stuff to my 1.6 engine. I think its a 1F. So what can i do to it. Its completely standerd. Any ideas?

how bout and engine and gearbox swap? out of the question?

You're not really doing anything to your 1.6 engine then are you? Like the man said it makes more sense to just buy a 2.0 16v Cordoba instead.

By the time you've swapped the engine, and upgraded the fornt brakes, and the rears to discs you'd be better off selling the 1.6 and buying a 16v. Insurance will be cheaper on the 16v than the modded 1.6 too.

insurance does matter, i havent even got a years no claims yet.
please stop telling me to buy a new engine...

the engine you have isnt worth modding. you wont make power out of it

if you really want to you could turbo charge it

if insurance matters i'd suggest leaving it alone and make it look good instead as you won't get any 'power' increase without some serious modifying i suppose you could add a filter + exhaust to it - make it sound better if that helped ?

personally i would go for handling and braking, that way you can make the most out of what limited you already have

turbo charging sounds like fun. n yer it lowered 40mm but would like to get strut braces n that. got front splitter aswell which really helps
