hello there i was wondering what modifications i could do for to the engine? i have a kent cam and decat... any more ideas dont want to abf it or anything like tht want to keep as 1.6 so cheap to insure still

car+house=skint
id get it chipped/remap, polish the throttle body, re skim the head to increase compresion, full polish of bottom end and head, uprate the pistons and valves and fit a short air intake pipe. it will cost a fair bit, but would balance the savings on insurance and would give it more go. also put the car on a diet.

I wouldn't bother, the money you'll spend getting a couple of extra BHP would total more than just buying and insuring a 16v.

A fair point, working for a car insurance company I can honestly say mods will abuse you premiums, fuel economy and if we're all honest reliability too.
