Please help i am going mad.
Wife's car has developed a running problem, its a 2000 1.6 ibiza. The engine hesitates at 1500rpm stutters then will rev up. When driving it will not go anywhere and just judders as soon as you start to pull away, unless you keep the revs up over 2500 rpm. Tried disconnecting all the usual culprits with no difference ( Air mass, coolant temp sender, lambda). When the throttle body is disconnected the hesitation goes and the engine revs and drives ok, apart from idle. Have tried another throttle body on it but it is still the same.:(
any help would be greatly appriciated.

the throttle body was i replaced with was second hand could a throttle body fault cause these symptoms? We did basic settings on it last night and it was fine, by this morning it is back to stuttering.

Tried another throttle body. was fine on the night that it was fitted, next day back to stuttering. Disconnect the throttle body and it does not stutter but does not idle well obviously. Was beginning to think ecu but why would disconnecting the throttle body make a difference? Please help i am going mad!! [:@]

i have put a scanner on it, all the faults that came up were related to the throttle body. After the last throttle body was put on it the faults were cleared and it was running fine and idling fine. By the next morning the juddering and not idling was back.

Have erased learnt values and done basic settings 098 and this didnt help then my mate did basic setting 001 and it run fine. Until the next day then back to stuttering.
Cant get my head around why the throttle body would cause it to stutter at 1500rpm and why unplugging it would stop the stutter?????

no egr valve.
tried running it with intake oipe disconnected still the same. Re fitted intake pipe. run it with throttle body connected and coolant temp and air mass disconnected and the stuttering has stopped, reconnect them all and now it runs fine again. But by hte morning it will no doubt stutter again.
Looks as though disconnecting stuff puts it into a base map running without the sensors maybe???

had tried this before and disconnecting the air mass on its own made no difference.

we had a similar issue on an AKL before and it turned out to be a faulty throttle body TPS.
could also be the MAF sensor.
do you have access to another TB?

Have tried another throttle body but my mate had it under his bench at a dealer so not 100% if it was faulty or not.
