Be really really sure you want to do it before you start - its utter grief afterwards. I put an M3 engine in my 328i (BMW of course). Very easy swap (engine, ECU's, loom & exhaust), but the insurance is the biggest hassle. Plus, the car will be next to worthless afterwards.

i was not going to declear anything as ive got tinted windows anyway and that voids all insurance! bad yes i know but whos to know! anybody been pulled and had there engine checked? ive seen what happens when insurance co comes and looks at the car
oh yes! thats not worth the repair!!! ive seen loads of people driving standard (heavily modified cars)

selling my 1.6 leon and getting a turbo would be good but not economical money wise
id get 2700 for mine p/x! leon turbo 5-6k thats 3k difference
id get an engine and ecu etc.. for £800ish for my leon as ive got cupra r kit and bits already done no problems with the car just no enough power for the weight!!! mmm...
