1.4tsi... particulate filter?

Just for my sanity, can anyone confirm that a 2017 1.4tsi does NOT have a petrol particulate filter??!

My understanding was that the 1.4tsi in any VAG model doesn't have one, and it was introduced in the 1.5 (possibly WHY the 1.5 was put in place as it was existing tech?), and that the 1.4 only has a catalytic convertor, but I'm not totally, utterly sure...

At the time of the 1.4 there was muttering about why the Ateca didn't come with the 1.5 engine. There were reported issues with the 1.5 at the time, so no bad thing. It was thought Vag was using up it's stock of 1.4 engines as all the rest were getting the 1.5. It probably was.

Anyway we are loving the 3 cylinders on the 1.0 on the Arona. Who wants the extra one .

I'll top you there... When you're going easy on the 1.4, it'd drops into 2 cylinder mode. Brilliant!

I like having cars and engines at the end of their production lifespan... Usually all the kinks have been ironed out.

Like the TDI 2.0 that and the TSI 1.0 does us at the minute. Amazing bhp in those EVs.
