1.4tdi - help with potential purchase

looking at getting a 1.4tdi arosa

but test drove it the other day, checked oil before and after drive. when i took the oil cap off, there were fumes coming out of the engine. is this normal for a tdi?

not as far as im aware.

it is normal on the PDs so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think it's fumes but I'm not exactly sure myself. I know that all do it though..
