Last night my radiator come out of the bottom securing point last night on the drivers side. Its back in now but im wondering about the plastic bit under the radiator.

How should this be mounted under the radiator. I put it on the same way as the passenger side but it doesnt look right. If someone could show me a picture of it, it would be really helpful.

How should the radiator be secured at the top?

Thanks

Craig

bolt it in from the top - make up some brackets

the plastic bit is required to funnel air up & over the rad - so position it in the cut out near the bottom of the rad

Well the plastic bit is sitting alright then. Ive just never noticed it before.

What do you suggest for the brackets?? I know there are 2 bolts on the black strip on the front. They dont mount into anywhere on the radiator ive already checked.

using the OE fitments it wil slip out again.

make brackets out of anything... old mechano kit if you have one handy! that or some strips of aluminium.

How is it secured using the OE fitment?? I had a look but i couldnt figure out how it was secured.

Will I just attach the brackets to the bolts that are already there?? What would be the rough idea for the brackets?

secured by bolts poking into the top of the rad - not screwed in.

the lugs at the bottom & this keep it in place. ish.

you'll need to find something secure on the radiator to secure some metal strips like this to the rad, then connect to a hole (or make a hole) in the slam panel.

Are you able to buy the little rubber/plastic bits that go on the top mounts of the radiator that the bolts go into to keep the radiator in place?? Or do you only get them with a radiator??

The reason im asking is that ive lost one, it must have fell off when the radiator dropped and was wanting another one.
