I need to get another key for my Arosa.
Now, the manual says it has to be cut by Seat as it has an immobiliser built in to it, but it really doesn't look like it to me.

Is it likely to have an immobiliser?

It's got a little chip in the main body of the key that works the steering lock.

So if this is a second key, you will need to get that programed by SEAT, if its a swap from another key, you can steal the chip out of that one :)

I have a bit of an issue with my keys actually. I have one that starts the car and opens the drivers door, petrol cap and boot but not the passenger door. And I have one that opens the passenger door and starts the car but doesn't let you drive anywhere because as soon as you stop revving the engine cuts out!

Would I just need to go to a Seat dealer and get them re-programmed so I can do everything?

Thats what I have, as the passenger lock has been replaced, but mine won't even turn in the ignition as its different.

If yours starts but is cutting out, it could well be the immobiliser.
Try swapping the chip in the keys, see if it still does it.
