1.2 TSi and 1.6CRTDi Remap

I know the 1.2tsi isn't here yet but it will be next year.
I done some research into what sort of tuning can be done on them. So I came up with this...

1.2 TSi 105bhp to 130bhp
1.6 TDi 105bhp to 130bhp

Not bad I think..

erm... yes please. Just a remap to get 130bhp? so that, with the de-DPF kit on the 1.6crtdi should be looking at 145(ish) bhp

and probably 50+mpg.

1.2 turbo with 100ps ppfft, 22 years ago there was a daihatsu charade gtti that was a 1.0 turbo with 100ps and those used to push 130 with just a bleed valve.

hello briano, when is the 1.2 tsi coming ?...... would it be a manufacturer upgrade like the fiesta montune ?.....also mate seen as you are in the know, what about a 5 door fr ?

I think I remember something about the 1.2 being launched in march next year. Probably at the Geneva motor show. There's the 5 door FR ya were lookin for 2

thanks m8, as i have said to you previously i need a 5 door and was looking for about 150 bhp, fr is ideal but has a dsg and i'm not too sure how they work tho i've been reading threads which give mixed reviews. secondly you informed of a a 140 crtdi which is also ideal as iam currently driving leon 140 but i like the reviews of the tsi engine..... basically i want a 5 door tsi with about 150 bhp and a manual box. i know the 1.2 tsi has a manuaul 6 speed and remapped to 130 would suit... phew sorry for the long story, further i am also noting that the new fiat/alpha multiair 1.4 is getting rave reviews... is this engine a threat to vw group ?

Ya there should be a 140 FR next year. There could also be as a 1.4tsi 125bhp. We'll hav to wait and see!!

my change over month is june 2010 and was also interested in the fabia vrs, but i know hear it's prob september ish, it's getting same engine as cupra with 5 doors mm mm... could hang off a couple of months
