1.2 Ibiza central locking

When I want to get out of my 3 door Ibiza I find that pulling the inside door handle doesn't open the door and i have to click the central locking button on the door. Is there a fault or is it a daftey device. Can it be turned off?
Also I would like to service it myself . plugs air filter oil filter oil. Where ithe best place to get the service items and how to i turn of the spanner and oil light on the speedo?

What happens if you pull it twice?

And does it lock when you drive away?

Hi i haven't tried the pull twice and yes it locks as you pull off.

it should unlock the drivers door when you take the key out of the ignition. also if you try the handle the first time it will unlock, the 2nd time it'll open.

basically the car locks itself if you go over 10mph and thats why you have to press the handle twice or press the unlock button

you can switch it off via vagcom

mine had the same problem, i got it turned off buy the guy who come to cut my spare key..
