0 - 100 run

had a little spare time on my private test track today. . so decided a 0 - 100 run was in order

60 in about 5 - 6 secs and 100 in about 14secs

no i think there around 10% out but its still nice to see a ton in 13/14 seconds

if its 10% out then you will need to time it to 110???

a better way to do it is work it out over a quarter mile as in up the strip.for example your genuine 0-100 time would be around 17 seconds going on your time at santa pod.

I reckon so aswell, iv tried videoing and timing and it comes out at 16 secs to 100 on the speedo so i reckon my speedo is a touvh out, although im running 215/40's it should be more accurate??

Really, 10%? Thats quite a lot.
My Golf is only out by 3%, I see 97mph on GPS whilst doing 100 on the clock.

just some thing that i heard all manufactures speedo's out by 10% on average to cover there arses incase of a law suit etc??!!

just sat and thought about that one and yeah i reckon your a little closer due to the bigger wheels but only a fraction due to 40 profile tyre's

according to a tyre calculator,

standard tyres 205/45/16 vs 215/40/17

difference ; 2.18% so when speedo says 100 im actually doing 102

Not a real 102 though, only what would be an indicated 102.
Your real speed would still be below that.

well thats 2% over standard so if its 3% out your nearly there...get some 20's on it lol
