As some of you may have read my clutch pedal snapped last week! i managed to get my car recovered to the dealer where they told me that it would most prob cost about £500 to fix, when i asked if it could be welded instead of replaced the bloke from servicing said it wasnt possible!

anyway to cut a long story short in the end they replaced the clutch pedal, a temp sensor and did a service on it! the bill came to £427 which left me feeling rather poor when i left the garage!

jumped back in my car started it up and i got 3 beeps and a red flashing light from the temp sensor that they were meant to have fixed! then when to pull away and noticed that the new clutch pedal thay had put in sat lower than the brake and that the biting point was a inch off the floor!

all in all im rather pissed off after paying out all that money to get the car sorted and its now worse than before!

I AM IN FRONT OF YOU
like u say m8 u took it to a dealer
so it should be right if u aint happy take it back and demand they do it right
and while u are there i would get some compensation out of them for not doing right in the first place.
i personal will not take my car to a dealer as they over charge for what they actually do
i took mine to a dealer once because there was a knocking on the front
only had the car 3 weeks
went i got the car back i was not very happy at all they had done over 55miles in it covered in oil inside then they stiffed for a bill of £64 quid and told me that my anitroll bar bushes where worn.
so i paid £64 quid for the pleasure of them ragging it and they did nothing to it
could of took it to any over garage and got the job done for that.

This may sound a bit extreme but a similar tyhing is ahppening with my gearbox repairs, im going to trading standars agency about the garage. Guna get legal advice and see what i can do. Recently alot of people i know are getting done over by garages who are doing very poor work.

My mate got stung with a bill for £700 when tey did unautherised work on his car. Legaly its there word versus yours but the customers alway right as far as im concerned. I get a written reply before any work is done on my car and get the bits they have changed in a bag in the boot before i take it away.

Its your call but i cant afford tto keep paying for things that arnt done. Alot of garages go for the Itll do or well it works attitude. Not for me thanx guys, i want i perfect for my money.

I wouldn't have driven the car away if I wasn't happy with it, the fact you have could bee seen that you have accepted the car as it is. If it went in for the temperature sensor fault then that's not fixed if the problem is still present. The clutch pedal could be a personal thing but if it's not right then it needs to be fixed / adjusted.

the problem that i had was that when i rang the dealer and asked how much it was going to cost they said about £80, so i thought that wasnt too bad! anyway i got my car recovered to the garage on a lorry. Once it was there they then said it was going to cost bout £300 odd! i asked if the original pedal could be welded coz of what i had read on here where other people had theres welded! anyway they said that it wasnt possible to do it! at this time i had not choice but to have a new 1 put in coz i couldnt afford another £100 to get the car recovered to another garage!

i dropped the car back off at the garage 2nite so i will have to wait and see what they come back and say 2moz! it better be fixed!
