Cupra tdi brakes - yikes! help!!

Hi guys Just bought myself a cupra tdi and it's awsome! Only downside is the brakes? Is it just me or are std 288mm tdi brakes total rubbish? i feel like i aint gunna stop!! Does anyone run just std discs and 2500 pads? does this improve things alittle/alot?? I would love to do the...
