    can you put wider tyres on LCR wheels?

    ok as the title suggests,..hopefully not a stupid question...... can i put 235 or 245 tyres on my LCR?.....been told today by mechanic friend today that you can....there are various advantages if you can do this i.e more tyre should be more grip and also a nice wider stance......the downsides...

    I've always wondered whats the widest tyres you can fit to standard 16" cupra rims? As standard they come with 195/45/16's (i think), can you stick on 205/45/16's or 205/40/16's, (or something similar), giving a larger footprint with smaller side wall to retain the standard rolling radius but...
