ultimax

Hi All, I fitted a set of ultimax discs and DS2500 pads to my car 2 weeks ago (so all of the black coating has gone) I bedded them with progressive heat build up etc, but last night I did some fairly heavy braking and by the time I got home the brakes were smoking!!! Any ideas as to why...

Couple of (probably) silly questions :redface: All the pics i've seen of the ultimax discs have black centres, and silver discs. Mine are completely black. Is the black on the disc some sort of coating which needs to be removed? If so, with what? meths? white spirit? Secondly, the two...

What size are the front Ultimax discs for the LCR?? I know the standard ones are 323mm but what size are the EBC Ultimax ones that peoples have fitted?? Cheers muchly
