tread

got myself some secondhand fr+ alloys with tyre's already on, 2 with 4mm 2with 6mm tread depth, i was gonna put 6mm on the rear's, until i went to get them balanced today when the tyre fitter said, i should put the 4mm tyre's on the rear? :confused: which way round should it be???

Has anyone had one fitted? are they any good? wanting to protect the paint against stratches...

Am I goin to noice much difference by changing to a tyre which is 50mm in depth rather then 40mm. Is it going to be more comfortable to ride with? Thoughts?

Hey all quick question, as i have searched here and t'interweb and not found the answer.... I have GSD3 tyres with which one of them is almost at the tread wear indicator level. But what IS that level? 3mm? 2mm? legal limit (1.6mm) ??? Cheers

What's the tread depth on a tyre when new and what's the legal minimum? Just got the service report after the 10K service and the treads are listed as 6mm
