I have a K04 on a Qpeng ecu, when i nail it in lower gears it boost spikes around something silly like 2bar (30psi)!?
Is there anything i can do to help reduce this? Ive heard it could be because the controller cannot keep up with the engines conditions... Could i fit a manual boost controller...
Out of interest, I'm wondering if it's better to allow small boost spikes or iron them out completely. I've seen many boost spike videos on youtube and heard people say "yeah, it spike to X bar and then settles down to Y bar".
Is it better to allow the spike knowing that the turbo is spooling...
I've recently had my LCR remapped by a reputable tuner (one of the sponsers), it produced very good figures on the RR, but I am having problems with boost "spikes".
When I floor it at low revs in any gear (most noticeable in 6th due to the time taken to spool) the boost spikes up to 26-28psi...
Hey guys, tonight i noticed a bit of a problem, when my boost spikes above 20 psi it seems i get a kind of missing sort of noise, then it goes into limp mode for a few seconds then it will let me fully boost again...

my car is going BT and jsust waiting to get it, now the bloke says he is gatting boost spike problems with it and did tell me but wondering what causes this and how you can sort it so it doesnt happen??
Apparently it hits max then drops then...
not sure if anyone else still has had the same problem but the turbo keeps spiking when accelerating hard, now i dont floor the car below 2k and change at 4100rpm, or around that mark.
its happended twice in two days but has happended in a while, i did contact the place where i had the map...
