Tyres for power/hard road/trackdays?

OK, so what tyres are people using for their cars making over 300bhp? I need better tyres, but they have to be able to cope with the odd trackday and 1/4 mile as well. I'm interested in the Yokohama Parada's but I hear they are pants in the wet? I've had Hankook RS2's before and they were...

Oil for higher power/fast road/trackdays?

Just wondering what engine oil people are using for their modifed engines? I know VAG recommend 5W30 for 504.507 but I am looking at Millers CFS 5W40 or Silkolene Pro S 5W40 right now which have been mentioned for high performance/higher heat applications.
