Altea 1.8 TFSi riddle

As I've mentioned I'm interested in getting a 1.8 TFSi Altea XL. One of the things holding me back was the stated 0-62 time of 9.1 seconds. A passing comment on the Briskoda forum re. the same engine in the Octavia Estate got me doing a little research and I'm now thoroughly confused. Why is...
