Hi everyone
I bought my wife a car SEAT IBIZA registered 2016. To my disappointment the heater blower has started playing up. All of the research points to issues concerning the resistor block thermal fuse situated in the fan housing. Every video I've found relates to an older model, this car...
Hi,
I've just picked up a '99 cordoba se (and said hello in the newbies area). Problem is the blower doesn't work at all. I took it out and it runs ok with 12v across it, the earth is fine but I couldn't get any voltage reading across the earth and +ve terminal where the +ve wire of the...
Hello i have a problem with my heater blower being constantly on the highest speed. I have found that this problem is caused by the heater resistor part No 6Q2907521.
My real question is how do you remove this part. Is it a full dash out job or can it be extracted through some other way because...
Hi,
I've done the N249 bypass but i want to take the valve out completely. I understand that the valve needs to be plugged in so that the ECU doesn't throw a hissy fit. What resistor can i put in place of the N249?
Thanks
Rich
I've ben through all the post and thread associated with this and found nothing conclusive.
What is the correct rating of resistor required to fool the ecu? Ohms & Watt info please.
Anybody know where I can get one of these in the UK?
I believe this is the one I need to fool the ECU so it does not bring up a code. I have the plate already from the USA but the resistor was silly money. There was a link somewhere to a UK place that did them but I cant find it now which is...
As I'm possibly the last VAG diesel owner in the UK to try a 'resistor mod' tuning box :D I thought I'd report on my initial findings over the last 600 miles or so.
Car is a 2002 model Passat PD130 sport, bog standard apart from an £18 tuning box on the fuel temperature sender...
As per title really, just wondered if anyone's still using the cheaper PD boxes that plug into the fuel temp sensor?
Any long-term reports on benefits / drawbacks / problems?
cheers, Craig
