remapped or chipped

Hi, A mate of mine has just bought a Seat Leon Diesel (90hp?). He recons it might have been remapped, as is seems to go so well (book say 0-60 in 12 seconds and he’s getting there in under 10). Is there any easy way to check this? Cheers for your help! Charlie

Test drove the Ibiza FR below a while back and it felt considerably quicker than my standard Fabia vRS. Does anybody know if it was chipped/mapped or whatever?

i was going to do a search for this but didnt have a clue what to search for... Basically, if i am just cruising along at about 2000rpm, any gear doesnt matter and i decide i want to put my foot down, i do so, revs shoot up to about 3000rpm, then drop down a few hundred then go back up again...
